Crete, Chania 30 minutes tour

Taking off from Chania Airport this 30-minute helicopter tour will take you over the Omalos Plateau situated 38 kilometers south of Chania in the Lefka Ori (White Mountains). From your helicopter seat you will get a unique perspective of the Samaria Gorge which is a major tourist attraction of the island and a World’s Biosphere Reserve. The gorge was created by a small river running between the White Mountains (Lefká Ori) and Mt. Volakias. Today visitors are recommended to complete the walk down the gorge from the Omalos plateau to Agia Roumeli. Get a bird’s eye view of Lefka Ori that occupy a large part of the centre of West Crete and are the main feature of the region. During your scenic flight you will also fly over Souda Bay which is a bay and natural harbour near the town of Souda, a popular tourist destination.
